CASIO G-SHOCK Frogman New with Box/papers GWF-D1000B-1

$1,050.00 $748.00

BASEL, March 16, 2016 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today the release of the new FROGMAN GWF-D1000 diver’s watch, a new addition to its G-SHOCK line of shock-resistant watches. The GWF-D1000 is equipped with triple sensors and is designed to withstand the toughest of underwater missions. Shock-resistant FROGMAN diver’s watches feature ISO 200-meter water resistance and a unique asymmetric shape that leaves wrist movement unrestricted. Since releasing the first FROGMAN DW-6300 watch in 1993, Casio introduced the DW-8200 (1995) featuring rust-resistant titanium materials, the DW-9900 (1999) with a small form factor, the GW-200 (2001) with Solar Power, and the GWF-1000 (2009) that receives time-calibration radio signals from six global broadcast stations. FROGMAN watches have continued to evolve by incorporating the latest technologies available. The FROGMAN GWF-D1000 represents another major step forward in the evolution of FROGMAN watches, with three precision sensors for measuring water depth, temperature, and compass bearing, and it is designed for use in the toughest environments including marine rescue. The GWF-D1000 also marks a first for the FROGMAN Series, with a water depth function that measures the depth down to 80 meters in 10 centimeter increments. The temperature function measures water temperature in 0.1 degree Celsius increments, and the compass bearing function, which features auto horizontal compensation, measures bearing in one degree increments even when tilted. These sensors provide real-time measurement data to support underwater search and rescue activities. The watch comes with an array of pro-grade features including a tide graph that displays high and low tides and a log memory function to track diving activities (dive time, maximum water depth, and lowest water temperature), supplemented by an excessive ascent rate alarm.

Description

This was purchased as part of special forces unit purchase in the Middle East and was an extra one.  It is new in box with valid international warranty.

This is one of Casio’s largest g-shocks, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Yes it’s large, yes it’s not subtle, but on this watch, it works. Despite its size, it curves and fits the wrist extremely well. It is not too heavy and actually is very comfortable. Casio did a really nice job with the colors and little details on this one.

The first FROGMAN with of ISO-certified 200m (20 BAR) diving water resistance to be equipped with a depth meter.

Feedback from professional divers who perform arduous underwater missions inspired the product engineers to provide superior diving specifications, including reliable sensor measurements during dives to as deep as 80m, outstanding water resistance and excellent practical utility.

The result is a diver’s watch that helps experts perform to the highest limits of their ability.
