Description

Genuine Name Plate for an Elgin National Watch Company naval marine chronometer .  This US Navy brass plate is an original new old stock plate that dates from during WWII.

It is made of brass and was never used since Elgin only completed a few chronometers before the war ended.

It measures 3 3/8 x 5/8 inch and was designed to be attached to an Elgin chronometer box made for the US Navy.  The pictures show it next to a US quarter to give size perspective.  Sorry, box and quarter not included.
