Description
Part of Luminox’s XCOR/SXC Space Series, the XCOR 5261 has a clear influence from the world of space and aeronautics. It makes perfect sense why, as it will be the official timepiece worn by both pilots and passengers in the XCOR Lynx—a small, rocket-powered aircraft designed for 60-minute flights to the edge of atmosphere and into space. Created with input from astronauts and test pilots, the XCOR 5261 features the ultra-reliable Valjoux Automatic Chronograph movement and the added advantage of Luminox Light Technology (T25 tritium tubes) for maximum visibility in all light conditions, including the pitch black darkness of space.
Crafted with a titanium case and sapphire crystal, the watch features a whopping 200 meters of water resistance. Functionally speaking, it’s got a chronograph with a 30-minute and 12-hour subdial to keep track of elapsed time. The chronograph’s orange seconds hand has a counterbalance in the shape of the ship itself. Also a standout feature are the hands and markers, which feature Luminox Light Technology for maximum visibility . . . even in the depths of space.
