The Military Navigator Pilot’s Quartz with Date uses a special acrylic crystal design which is resistant to extremely rapid changes in pressure that would be experienced by a parachutist and would normally cause a watch’s crystal to shatter or come loose from the watch.

Description:

The unit features a high-quality Swiss made high precision Quartz Movement with Date feature.  The watch is water resistant to 6 ATM (196 Ft) and is designed for maintaining accuracy at high altitude to 35,000 FT without compensating pressurization.  The case is made of an extremely durable nylon/fiberglass composite material and has a 41mm case size which is 13mm thick.  The rotating outer bezel provides marking for a second-time zone so that you can keep time in two time zones simultaneously. The dial is signed "Marathon" and features the radioactive symbol (Tritium isotope), with your choice of 3 additional government markings.  Tritium tubes are self-illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen that glows 20 times brighter than an ordinary luminous watch.  They will not dull over time like normal photoluminescent (glow in the dark) paint which requires an external light source to create a glow.  The stainless steel back has engraved full military markings including “Watch, Wrist: Navigators” and Nato Stock Number 6645-01-544-9475.
