The watch is the exact same size, has the same dial, and beadblasted or parkerized case as the original military issue watches from the Viet Nam era through the early 1990s.  The case measures 34x42mm as it did in those bygone days. Hamilton kept all the best parts of its 46374s, like the 12 and 24-hour dial and bead-blasted non-reflective case markers, and added new ones to the Hamilton Khaki Field Watch, such as the upgraded Swiss 17 jewel mechanical movement, hacking capability, and non-fixed spring bars. Since the watch was first worn, it has been an information tool, giving its wearer some piece of intelligence otherwise not known.  Perhaps nowhere is that truer or better realized than in the military watch.  Almost as long as watches have existed, governments and the military have been buying and issuing timepieces to be used in nearly every military scenario imaginable. The Hamilton 46374 was designed to U.S. Department of Defense specifications, with no fancy buttons or bezels. Just a very simple and reliable watch that does what it is specified to do – tell time on the battlefield - ie: to work well in environments not often encountered by civilian watches. This Hamilton Khaki Field Watch was originally sold in the early 2000s and comes with the original canvas strap, inner and outer boxes, original hang tag, instruction book, and warranty papers.  The watch appears to be unworn or like new.  Unlike modern versions, this Hamilton Khaki Field Watch has the original size and look of the ones issued during the Viet Nam war era and the 1970s through the early 1990s.
