If you are considering spending the money on a Khaki King, I would recommend you do it. There are a lot of things to like about this watch. For the price, you are going to get a lot of bang for your buck, as most Swiss movement automatics will cost you significantly more. The Khaki King has a classic military watch look, and looks great either on a SS band, the leather band, or a NATO band if you're looking to switch up the look. Great day/date functions at the top, dial with clear and well lumed numbers. There are a couple of small touches that make a big difference in my opinion. First, the case and lugs have a nice brushed look, while the bezel is a polished, which gives a subtle contrast. Following the same logic of small detail changes in texture, the dial itself has a slight raise in the interior with flat dial, while under the 1-12 markers there is a waved/raised texture, which goes back to raised/flat texture on seconds markers. The nuts and bolts of this watch are great as well - the version I received is the newer version, which has the H40 movement, that has an 80hr power reserve and runs at 6 beats per second. I'm happy to trade a lower beat per second for a larger reserve, and when I compare to my Hamilton Khaki field (an older version) that runs at 8 beats per second, I doubt that the majority of people would be able to see a huge difference. You can manually wind if necessary, and the version I received is hacking, and says "Swiss Made" below 6 on the dial. Ultimately, this is not only a great value, but an extremely beautiful watch."
