Description

The Omega Seamaster 300M 2531.80 was introduced in 1993 and became known as the  “Bond watch” in 1995.  Last year marked the  25th anniversary of the Omega Seamaster 300M James Bond.  The 2531.80 was in production from 1993 till around 2006.

With the 25th birthday of the Seamaster 300M, a model that has hardly gone unchanged (it still has the classic 1990’s looking bracelet, and the watch looks good on NATO strap as well), it might be time to recognize this watch as a classic and celebrate its past anniversary now.

The price tag of the current blue dial Omega Seamaster 300M with the same type of bracelet is $5200.

Here is an excellent/ near mint example which would make a great addition to someone’s collection or a superb everyday watch!  This example was purchased by the first owner at an Omega Authorized Retailer in September of 2005.  Not only did the original owner keep the receipt, both boxes, instruction book, and warranty cards, the watch subsequently also was serviced and the receipts, as well as used parts, were kept for two full services that were done by Omega USA in the intervening years!

This watch has been impeccably cared for since new and maintained by Omega USA.  The watch comes on the original bracelet (spare link is included).  It includes the watch, bracelet, original boxes (inner and outer), original receipt, receipt showing retailer inspection twice, two receipts for service by Omega USA in 2013 and 2017, parts changed during the aforementioned servicing, original bound instruction book, wallet holding three cards: chronometer certificate, international warranty and pictograms.  This is about as complete a set as one can expect to get on a classic vintage timepiece such as the Omega Seamaster 300M 2531.80.  Moreover, the watch does not appear to have been worn much judging from lack of wear to case and bracelet.

The watch is beautiful and shows brushed and polished highlights as it did originally.  Only the lightest signs of use are evidence of careful occasional wear.  The clasp shows very light surface scratches that would be apparent after the watch is worn several times.

We cannot emphasize the excellent condition of the watch both aethetically and mechanically, the service history and the completeness of boxes and papers make this a really super example!
