This is a brand new Cross Platinum Verve ballpoint pen laser engraved by Cross for the winning Team ABN AMRO of the world’s premier ocean race, The Volvo Ocean Race. The original price was over $250 and the pen was not sold commercially.  You can purchase this for much less than an unmarked Platinum Verve Pen.  This model has been discontinued thus further enhancing the scarcity. Once these pens are gone, there will be no more!

Cross Item # AT0022-3 with special Cross factory Laser engraving, “TEAM ABN AMRO in the Volvo Ocean Race 2005-2006”.  This is new old stock from a small run of pens that were presented to crew members and other important individuals involved in the race.

The king of metals, 100% element pure platinum, is electrically plated onto the cap and barrel to a uniform thickness of 2 microns. The texture is artfully created by randomly brushing the base metal until a vertical satin wash finish is achieved on both the cap and barrel. Matching platinum plated appointments enhance the minimalist, seamless flowing profile of the Verve design.  Add the unique Volvo Ocean Race significance and you have a rare piece of sailing history that you can use on a day to day basis if you want.

The pen was manufactured in the USA with US and France components by the world famous Cross firm.  It was designed especially for Team ABN AMRO by Cross. The pen is brand new and never used.
